Richard H. Spoo, age 85 late of Palos Park. U.S. Airforce Korean War Veteran.
Beloved husband of Theresa nee: Holoubek. Loving father of Charisa (Larry) Giese & Richard (Susan) Spoo. Cherished grandfather of Katrina Hummel, Melissa, Nicholaus & Brianna Giese & Richard Spoo. Brother in law of Maryann (the late Clarence) Alicz, the late Edward (MaryEllen) Holoubek & the late Agnes (the late Clem) Rochon. Fond uncle & friend of many. He attended
St. Augustine Grammar School & De La Salle High School. Member of Knights of Columbus & ushered at Our Lady of the Woods Church. Member of the Dank Club & Alpine Ski Club. He worked for Navistar for 24 years & University of Illinois for 10 years as a stationary engineer.
A proud veteran serving from 1952-1956 in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.
Visitation Sunday 3-8 PM. Funeral Monday, October 2, 2017. Chapel prayers 9:00 AM from the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave, Worth to Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, 10731 W. 131st Street, Orland Park. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.
