Transferring your loved one to another funeral home is also known as "shipping/transferring out of state."  This service is provided to families who will be having the committal and/or funeral service in another state. Families who choose to have a traditional funeral often times have funeral services locally and then have their loved one transferred out of state for the committal ceremony. Families who choose this type of service generally do so because they have additional family members in another state or they have a family cemetery in another state.

Regardless of why a family chooses to forward their loved one to another state, it will often require the use of a secondary out-of-state funeral home. We will make ready our resources to assist you in selecting a funeral home (if one is not already requested), and we will work together with the out-of-state funeral home to finalize all of the necessary details that pertain to the funeral.
