From the moment you walk through our doors, the foyer maintains an inviting warmth and peacefulness. You enter into our home and are greeted by a member of our family or staff. Tranquil background music plays throughout our home, while the furnishings offer a peaceful place to take a moment and gather your thoughts before making your way to one of our chapels to pay your respects.
The Main Hallway
Easily accessible off the Main Hallway are the Main office, our spacious North and South Chapels, the Library, Restrooms and Elevator.
The Library
Conveniently located off the Main Hallway is a unique oasis, our Library. The Library is decorated in a manner which inspires comfort, peace and tranquility. The Library is the perfect place to visit, when you need a moment to collect your thoughts or a quiet place to dwell.
The North Chapel
The North Chapel is a contemporary version of a traditional chapel. The room welcomes you in with comfortable furnishings, as well as its respectful pieces of original artwork that adorn the walls. The North Chapel is full of natural light from two large bay windows, and mahogany curio cabinets house an eclectic collection of art glass and original Waterford crystal.
The South Chapel
The South Chapel is a most inviting room; it is decorated in a way which makes you feel as if you were in the comforts of your own home. Time and consideration were given to every detail of the room, providing areas of gathering and conversation, while still allowing families to pay their respects. The South Chapel is filled with an abundance of light and furnished with pieces that we believe provide a sense of familiarity and comfort.
The Funeral Home Lounge
Unlike the coffee rooms of yesterday, the Schmaedeke Lounge is truly one of a kind. Located on the lower level, and accessible via elevator or staircase, you will find ample places for family and friends to gather or have a refreshment. The lounge was designed with everyone in mind; there is even an entertainment center with a collection of videos for our youngest guests. The lounge provides all of the amenities that you would expect to find at home.
